Missions, also known as Jobs, are a prominent feature in Driver: Parallel Lines and Driver 76 that set a chronological story that the player follows and understands themselves as the narrative and storyline of the game progresses.

Description[]

Missions are a big feature of the Driver: Parallel Lines game, and involve certain instructions lead to unlock new things in the world. They usually involve either driving or shooting.

There are a total of 32 missions in Driver: Parallel Lines:

Driver 76 has a total of 27 missions, split over 6 chapters.

Missions[]

1978 Era[]

  1. Introduction - An unknown criminal is robbing a liquor store. TK serves as wheelman and gets the robber away from the crime scene.
  2. Wheelman - Introduction to Slink and the garage mechanics. TK is introduced to Ray’s garage by reviving a stolen Andec, located in a back street of Bronx. The car is then used to put TK’s driving skills to the test.
  3. Gunman - Slink teaches TK how to handle guns. After practicing on fixed objects, TK is introduced to eliminating a dynamic target in the streets of New York.
  4. Pay Ray - Ray got himself into financial problems. He asks TK if he can provide him with $1500.
  5. Hot Wheels - TK’s first job for Slink. TK is asked to steal the car of a rival of Slink. TK attributes felony to the car by committing several crimes with it, and then drives it back to the location he stole it. When Slink’s rival enters the car, he gets arrested for the committed crimes.
  6. Repoman - An associate of Slink owning the Phoenix Auto Body Shop chain, and wants Slink to acquire three expensive sport cars. Slink hands the job over to TK. TK then steals the three cars with a tow truck and brings them to Phoenix.
  7. Bread Run - Slink asks TK to collect money from four different subsidiaries of the Funky Rabbit located in Manhattan. After retrieving the money at four different locations, TK brings the cash back to Slink.
  8. Last Chance - In order to determine whether or not TK should become The Mexican’s wheelman, The Mexican challenges TK to take part in a motorbike race against his current driver. Although the opponent doesn’t play fair, TK wins the race and becomes the Mexican’s driver.
  9. Rosalita Racer - The Mexican has participated a race where he put his own car ‘Rosalita’ at stake. The Mexican however doesn’t feel confident enough about his own driving skills and asks TK if he would like to win the race for him. TK agrees and wins the race by retrieving Rosalita.
  10. Paddy Wagon - In order to break Candy free from prison, the gang needs a prison van to infiltrate the jail. Bishop contacts TK and asks him to attack a convoy leaving the prison and obtain the prison van. After eliminating several guards escorting the prison van, TK obtains it and drives off to the garage, where it gets repaired.
  11. Circuit Breaker - The Mexican has bet on two different racers in a race event taking place at Hunts Point and La Guardia. He needs TK to make sure the racers win both races, in order to let his gamble pay off. By letting TK entering the race and obstructing the competitors so they can’t pass the selected racers, The Mexican wins his bets and claims the prize money.
  12. Turning The Screw - One of the guards at Candy’s prison wants to sell his sports car. Bishop contacts TK and asks him to scare the guard in order to retrieve information. TK thereafter gets in contact with the guard and fakes a potential buyer. When he gets in the car with the guard for a test drive, he frightens the guard by driving recklessly and obtains information about the prison security.
  13. Air Mail - A courier of Slink in a helicopter has to deliver some drugs packages. Slink asks TK to collect them. When TK arrives however, he is told that that 'the chopper has been tipped off' and the courier therefore refuses to land. Instead all the packages get dropped. TK collects all the packages before the police do and brings them to Slink.
  14. Jail Break - Time for the ‘main event’. Bishop demands TK to head over to Riker’s Island to free Candy. When TK arrives with the prison transport, the guard leads him through the first gate. Once inside, TK steals a bulldozer and gets infiltrates the prison complex. He finds Candy, escapes the prison with a food delivery truck and together they safely arrive at the hideout in Queens.
  15. Gift Wrapped - TK is asked to plant a bomb in one of the Colombians’ escort car as preparatory work for the kidnap of Rafael Martinez. TK steals the car, drives off to Phoenix Autos to plant the bomb and returns the car to the location he stole it.
  16. Kidnap - While Candy instructs him over the walkie talkie, TK detonates bombs planted on the billboard in Manhattan, one of the escort cars, the L-train bridge and the gas station in Queens. That way, Martinez's convoy and bodyguards get diverted, and Martinez's car gets lured into a trap. After ending up at the "kill zone", TK steals the car with Martinez and drives him to a warehouse in Hunts Point.
  17. Ransom - The Colombians leave a bike with a package containing the ransom money at the top of a multi-story car park in Manhattan. TK takes the bike, then makes his escape across the rooftops until he reaches the Mexican's truck. From there, TK fends off the Colombians as they make their way to the warehouse in Hunts Point, where Rafael Martinez is killed and TK gets betrayed by Corrigan and his gang. Completing the mission triggers an Era Change.

2006 Era[]

  1. (18). The Mexican - After spending 28 years in jail, TK begins his plan for revenge against Corrigan and his gang, starting with the Mexican, who didn't lead a successful life compared to others. TK finds the Mexican at an arcade in Queens, who makes his escape via train. TK chases the train until it reaches the Blast Off! Park in Coney Island. TK makes his way through the park and kills the Mexican.
  2. (19). Tailgate - Ray wants to help TK, as he arranged a meet with Maria Cortez, a close associate of Candy who runs things for him while he's out of town. After surviving an assassination attempt, TK and Ray chase down the hitman and kill him, before driving to meet Maria at a firing range in Harlem.
  3. (20). Guardian Angel - Maria sets up TK for a job in New Jersey which involves protecting a truck hauling a high-end sports bike to Hunts Point. However, the job gets delayed due to an ambush. TK deals with the hitmen, either by killing them or escaping them.
  4. (21). Gauntlet - Maria asks TK to protect her from an enemy gang while her bodyguard drives around Brooklyn. Soon after, Maria's bodyguard dies and TK takes his place.
  5. (22). Rush Hour - Slink's drug shipment was cleared from the airport, and his couriers plan out the delivery in four identical cars, with only one carrying the drugs and the rest being decoys. TK goes to search the cars until he finds the car with the stash and destroys it.
  6. (23). Ram Raider - After enduring yet another ambush, TK goes to meet Ray at a garage, where he came up with a plan to ruin Slink's business by making a mess within the Peek-a-Boob stores located across Bronx, with Ray providing a heavily armored sports car for the job. TK drives to the stores and ram raids them, before losing a tail from Slink's gang members.
  7. (24). Shell Shock - TK goes to steal a truck at a warehouse in La Guardia containing Bishop's ammunition shipment, which turns out to be yet another ambush. TK makes his escape and delivers the shipment to Ray.
  8. (25). Gate Crasher - Ray informs TK of Bishop's drug and weapon shipments, located in Redhook, Manhattan and New Jersey. Realizing this could be a tough task for TK to do alone due to the smugglers being heavily armed, Ray tells him to get the cops involved and lead them to the smugglers, ruining the shipments.
  9. (26). Riding Shotgun - TK is tasked by Maria to protect a shipment with a stolen sports bike that needs to be taken to a buyer in Englewood. TK protects the truck from the attackers, but the truck makes an involuntary stop after taking too much damage, forcing TK to deliver the bike himself.
  10. (27). Slink - TK goes to meet Slink at the Funky Rabbit, who is shocked by TK's return and realizes he's the one messing with his supplies. After Slink's bodyguard, Roost, gets killed by TK, Slink attempts to flee while TK chases him down and kills him.
  11. (28). Bishop - After a phone call from Bishop, TK goes to fight him in a duel at his mansion's yard in New Jersey, with Bishop pulling up in an APC tank. TK destroys the tank, killing Bishop inside, and leaves the yard.
  12. (29). Candy - Candy moves back into New York and has set up a mover's company. Upon meeting with TK, Candy remarks that they should've killed him years ago and suspects his involvement with Maria. Candy then calls Maria and tells her to meet him in an hour at her office, while secretly planning to kill her. As Candy leaves the house, TK gets drugged by his henchmen, but he chases Candy down and kills him before he gets to Maria.
  13. (30). Bear Cage - TK finds out that Maria Cortez is the daughter of Rafael Martinez, who was killed by Corrigan 28 years ago. Now being aware of who killed her father, Maria plans to cripple Corrigan and make him come out of hiding. TK takes a police car with Candy's body in the trunk and C4 explosives in the cockpit, drives it to the police station, parks it in Corrigan's space, plants a bomb in his office, and leaves the station as the office explodes.
  14. (31). Home Wrecker - TK goes to steal a limo belonging to Corrigan with Slink's body in the trunk, which gets intercepted by the police. TK steals the limo and drives it to Corrigan's mansion in Englewood, then kills all of the guards in the yard before making his escape.
  15. (32). Corrigan - Maria found out about Corrigan's whereabouts: a dillapidated safe house in New Jersey. However, once TK arrives, it turns out to be a trap set up by Corrigan, who then makes his escape in a helicopter. TK escapes the building and chases the chopper, barely escaping a collapsing tunnel, and shooting Corrigan's chopper down. Despite Corrigan pleading TK to kill him, he decided to give Corrigan to Maria instead. This is the final story mission in the game.
