Ubisoft Entertainment SA is a French video-games publisher founded in 1986. They have published many well-known titles, including Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, Far Cry, and several Driver releases.

Ubisoft Reflections, the British development team, developed Driver: Parallel Lines, and Ubisoft published the game on the PC and Wii platforms, while Atari released the game on the Xbox and PlayStation 2 platforms. They released DPL in North America on June 26, 2007, Australia on June 28, 2007, and Europe on June 29, 2007.

Reflections also worked alongside Sumo Digital to develop Driver 76, a prequel to DPL, and Ubisoft released it on the PlayStation Portable in North America on May 8, 2007, Australia on May 10, 2007, and Europe on May 11, 2007.

Large billboards advertising the first Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell games, both of which published by Ubisoft, can be seen on the eastern side of Times Square. In the 1978 era, the Atari logo can be seen, hinting towards their contributions in releasing Driver: Parallel Lines on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The Ubisoft Reflections logo can also be found, hinting the PC and Wii releases of the game.
