The Boldius is a semi-truck appearing in Driver: Parallel Lines.

Design

The Boldius is a semi-truck. It seems to be loosely based on a Peterbilt 397, evidently from its square, long hood. It features two giant exhaust pipes at the sides of the cab.

Performance

The truck, being heavy, is among the slowest of vehicles in the game. It can accelerate very fast, however.

Locations

1978 Era
  • Very common in New Jersey and Queens' industrial zones.
  • Two Boldius's will sometimes spawn in New Jersey, near two curved roads that somewhat curve parallel with each other. They will be parked by the side of a large mill and will always have either an oil tanker or flatbed trailer attached. The drive will always exit and walk away from the vehicle when the player reaches the truck.
2006 Era
  • Will spawn more commonly if the player is driving one.
  • Usually around Brooklyn.
  • Common in New Jersey.

Trivia

  • The Boldius' beta name was "Kenilworth". In the vehicles list, the line "07_kenilworth" exists and there is no name "boldius". "07" stands for vehicles in the 1978 era and given the fact that "kenilworth" is very similar to Kenworth, which is a company making semi-trucks, and the Boldius is a semi, it can be assumed that the "kenilworth" is the Boldius.
  • Strangely enough, the acceleration of the Boldius hugely improves when a trailer is attached.
